Specialty Fasteners & Components (SFC) and Clarendon – which acquired SFC two years ago – are to trade under the unified name of Clarendon Specialty Fasteners.

In the 24 months since SFC was bought many changes have been implemented, all with the aim of providing a more complete service to customers in the company’s core aerospace, defence, motorsport and industrial markets.

In a press statement, the company said: “The SFC design and manufacture capabilities are an important part of our service offering which we can more readily promote to all our customers if we trade under a single brand. Combining SFC’s capabilities with Clarendon’s growing range of “off the shelf” fastening products enables customers to benefit from greater choice, availability and innovation.

“We are continuing to invest in our Totnes facility, which will remain our centre for design and manufacture as well as handling the distribution of our more technical product ranges.”

Lydiard Fields, Swindon, is the distribution centre for Clarendon Specialty Fasteners’ “off the shelf” products. There will be no changes to the Clarendon Leicester sales office which is already trading under the name Clarendon Specialty Fasteners.
