Preliminary sales in 2016 rose a modest 0.6% to €894.9 million for NORMA in fiscal year 2016 (2015: €889.6m).
The Group saw preliminary adjusted EBITA increase 0.8% to €157.5 million, while adjusted EBITA margin stuck at a sustained high level of 17.6%.
The period included the acquisition of automotive component manufacturer Autoline and Portugese clamps firm Lifial. Autoline boosted sales €3.5 million.
Organic growth in 2016 was 0.9% compared with 2015 and currency effects negatively impacted sales growth by 0.7%.
“Considering the sharp decline in the US commercial vehicle and agricultural machinery markets, we are satisfied with our results for fiscal year 2016,” said Werner Deggim, CEO of NORMA Group. “Thanks to our broad geographic and industry-specific positioning, we were able to compensate partially for the decline, for example through our continuously growing water management business.”
Q4 2016
Sales fell 0.7% in Q4 to €215.5m compared to Q4 2015 (€217m). Autoline contributed €3.5m to Q4 2016 sales.
NORMA Group’s plant in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, recently received an Achieving Excellence Award from John Deere for its participation in the John Deere Cost Reduction Opportunities Process (JD CROP).
