Amazon Business is not yet officially available in the UK, where it is at the trial stage, but the business-to-business offering now has over 45,000 selling businesses using it to serve customers in the US.

The numbers were revealed in an Amazon press release, noting 2016 milestones.

Launched in April 2015, over a $1 billion in sales were generated in year one for Amazon Business. The offering is aimed at all businesses, from sole proprietors to big businesses. Offering trade prices on millions of items, including business-only prices, the system features purchasing analytics, multi-user accounts and is expected to be a disrupter to the existing B2B marketplace.

Amazon Business now serves more than 400,000 business customers in the US and has officially had its first international launch in Germany.
