Taiwan-headquartered deck screw manufacturer Kwantex has developed its latest woodscrew solution; the KTX-Jig Hidden Decking Screw System, suitable for both professional and DIY use on outdoor decking with the aim of giving the appearance of a fastener-free deck surface through side fastening.
The Hidden Screw System has an easy-to-operate jig which installs ‘invisible’ carbon or stainless steel M4.8 screws through clamping, with help of a double-sided screw guiding hole. The KTX-Jig has a fastening angle of 60 degrees, and the gap between decks can be fixed at either 2.5mm, 3.5mm or 5mm.
The KTX-Jig has two clip widths, size small (85-110mm) and medium (110-150mm) and can be used with various deck materials, such as ACQ Pine, Composite, PVC and IPE.
Besides side fastening, KTX-Hidden Decking Screws can also be driven from the top of the deck board directly without using the KTX-Jig.
The KTX-Jig has launched as a result of a number of R&D projects, designed to improve Kwantex’s performance in the wood-working industry. For more details, visit: www.kwantex.com.tw
