ForgeFix has extended its range of almost 4,000 different products following a partnership with ‘Shim Experts’ Broadfix to offer a comprehensive selection of shims, wedges and packers.
The latest additions to the ForgeFix range are designed for spacing and levelling requirements, including those encountered when installing doors, windows, countertops and kitchen cabinets.
For optimum performance and durability, the Broadfix shims, wedges and packers benefit from a plastic construction. They are completely waterproof and will not shrink, swell or rot even after prolonged contact with moisture. It also enables them to cope with higher compressive loads compared to similar products made from wood.
Environmental aspect
A significant percentage of the plastic employed in the products comes from recycled post-consumer waste. As a result, the shims, wedges and packers from ForgeFix also represent a more environmentally-responsible choice, the firm said.
To cater for most common applications, ForgeFix is offering Broadfix shims, wedges and packers in various sizes and types. Each variation is colour-coded enabling quicker and easier identification, and ultimately faster installation times. ForgeFix will offer the new shims, wedges and packers in a choice of different pack formats to ensure greater purchasing flexibility. Specific options available include bulk tubs, bags and convenient clamshell blister packs.
Mike Pollard, product manager at ForgeFix, said: “ForgeFix is already a dynamic one stop supplier offering solutions to the widest range of fixing and fastening needs. The addition of Broadfix shims, wedges and packers to our portfolio adds to that impressive capability. These products are well known and well regarded amongst the trade and as such perfectly complement our other high profile and highly popular brands.”
