Revised safety standards, Smartswipe knuckles and a Red Dot Design Award are all featured in our workwear gloves round-up.
Milwaukee
Although known mostly for its power tool offering, Milwaukee has been rapidly expanding into the hand tool market over the last few years, recently announcing a distribution partnership with UK wholesaler, Toolbank.
Milwaukee’s Demolition Gloves, designed for the jobsite, have specifically engineered features to improve safety, comfort and ease of use. Constructed from Armortex reinforced material on the
palms and fingers, the gloves feature TPR pad knuckle protection and a terry cloth thumb to wipe away sweat and dirt.
The Smartswipe knuckle allows the wearer to use touch screen devices throughout the day without having to remove their gloves. Placing the Smartswipe feature on the knuckle, rather than on the fingertips, means the touchpads will not get covered in dirt and be rendered useless.
The breathable tri-cot lining ensures maximum comfort whilst fulfilling the requirements of CE Category 2, EN 420 and EN388 – 2221. The gloves are available in sizes ranging from 8/M – 11XXL.
Snickers Workwear
With over 40 years of innovation, Snickers has won an international product design award for its workwear gloves. Three styles from Snickers’ new Work Gloves range have been awarded Red Dots; the Specialised Tool, Specialised Impact and Power Grip gloves received the awards for excellence in functionality and design. The Red Dot Design Award is considered one of the world’s most prestigious product accolades, renowned as a symbol of innovation and quality.
Snickers’ range of Precision Gloves are light and flexible with a design priority centred on dexterity and fit. The gloves are ideal for precision work while flexible materials on the dorsal side of the
hand, plus knuckle protection, cushioning and reinforcement, provide optimum protection.
The Snickers range includes seven styles of Power Gloves which are comfortable, hard-wearing and ideal for heavy-duty jobs on site, with a variety of styles to suit different jobs. Snickers’ Managing Director, David Clark, said: “While ordinary poor-fitting gloves can be more of a hinderance than a help, this revolutionary new Work Gloves range is designed to suit different
jobs on site even down to the finest details in protection, grip and dexterity.
“But what makes buying Snickers Work Gloves really unique is that you can buy them individually if you need to, which helps if one was to eventually wear out. You can also mix and match them
to suit the way you work, even to suit left or right-handed use.”
