Industrial supply company Fastenal is expanding in Madison County, Mississippi with a new 129,000 sq ft distribution centre, its 15th in North America.

Approximately $11.5 million will be invested by the firm, creating over 60 new jobs over three years.

The distribution centre will be located off Sowell Road in the Central Mississippi Industrial Centre. It is set for completion by 2019 end.

“We have been fortunate to find great people, form a great team, and achieve years of strong growth,” said Fastenal CEO CEO Dan Florness. “As the business grows, we are constantly looking at ways to supplement the strength of our supply chain and our distribution network. This project allows us to strengthen the distribution network, which in turn supports our branch and Onsite network, and ultimately supports our customer.”

Mississippi also recently scored success with Milwaukee Tools, which is growing existing operations in the state with 600 new jobs.
