Bossard has bolstered its position in the German market with the acquisition of BRUMA Schraub- und Drehtechnik, a specialist in customised engineering screws, fastening elements and turned parts for series production.

BRUMA, based in Velbert, operates in a number of markets, particularly the automotive and electrical industries. It turns over €11 million annually and employs 19 people.

Bossard has shifted focus towards engineered fastening solutions and quality branded products in recent years, including through acquisitions, with the BRUMA buy-out fitting into that strategy.

Swiss 3D printing company 3d-prototyp was acquired by the group at the end of a record breaking year.
