Today (6 June 2018) is expected to be amongst the busiest at Birmingham’s third Automechanika show.
The automotive show is back at the NEC over 5-7 June and TR, a Trifast Plc company, is back exhibiting for the third time. TR is a full service provider (FSP) to the automotive industry, manufacturing, supplying and providing technical and logistical support to the Tier 1 market.
TR will be exhibiting at the show (Stand D17) for the third time, having enjoyed considerable success at both the 2016 and 2017 events. Once again the key focus areas for TR this year will be the promotion of its product ranges and the technical and logistical support it provides on a global basis. Having a global footprint enables TR to support platforms on 3 continents which is prerequisite for many Tier 1s, giving TR a leading edge.
TR’s 2018 stand will also feature for the first time its capability of supplying from stock many of the components that are used in the manufacture of charging units for Electric Vehicles (EVs).
“The growth of the EV market and the electric highway has lead TR into new areas of development, in particular with battery production and the fixings that are required,” said Glenda Roberts, Trifast’s Global Sales Director. “TR’s qualified engineers and sales staff will be on hand at Automechanika to advise designers, production and purchasing teams, encouraging them to bring their fastener application issues to us so we can offer solutions.”
TR is a member of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and has benefitted greatly from its association with the organisation. Automechanika Birmingham has enabled TR to further cement its position within the automotive industry, allowing it to access and converse with wider audiences, from design through to aftermarket.
Chris Black, Automotive Sales Director at TR Fastenings comments: “Automechanika Birmingham has always proved to be a very successful event for us. In both 2016 and 2017, we made extremely promising connections at the show and we were quick to sign up again for 2018. With the developments in the automotive market, particularly surrounding Electric Vehicles, we look forwarding to meeting and networking with existing and new companies, welcoming them to our stand to discuss shared opportunities and demonstrate our capabilities.”
TR’s global reach extends to 31 sites including 8 manufacturing facilities, a number of which are accredited to TS 16949. Globally, TR produces more than 60 billion components annually to over 6,000 customers.
