Fasteners won’t get into place by themselves. Here we present fastener tool options from ZIPP, Norbar and Makita for stockists…
Makita
Makita has introduced the LXT Drywall Screwdriver – a new version of its popular 18v cordless drywall screwdriver that runs up to 2,500 rpm. That’s actually less than its predecessor, but it provides greater driving torque thanks to an innovative brushless motor. The specs include a variable speed control trigger; ergonomic soft grip with thumb and forefinger grip pads; belt clip and LED job light with lightweight aluminium gear housing.
A TEK screwdriver version is now available for the first time, which will power a 6mm hex screw socket in addition to the above, designed to appeal to cladding contractors.
Makita also has a new pin nailer that takes 23 gauge size nails and can deliver 15, 18, 25, 30 and 35mm length nails. The magazine will hold 100 nails of each of these sizes.
Master Abrasives
Two years on from launching the ZIPP range in the UK, Master Abrasives is now introducing the complete range of fastening air tools manufactured by ZIPP Group and sold under the ZIPP® brand and is seeking suitable distributors for the range.
Featuring low-vibration technology, designed to help companies to reduce the risk of HAVS in the workplace affordably, the industrial tools available include die grinders, orbital sanders, pencil grinders, and other cutting, grinding, and surface finishing tools.
The newly introduced range of professionally designed fastening tools by ZIPP Group includes impact drivers, oil impulse tools, torque wrenches, riveters, and more, with tools made in USA and Taiwan.
Innovative designs include the ½” air impact wrench which uses a twin hammer impact mechanism for high torque output performance and a special
hardened Cylinder, Front plate, and Rear plate to maintain high durability. A spring-mounted vane prevents dead-lock issues, and the 360-degree swivel air inlet and composite handle improves operator comfort.
Norbar
Norbar has a wealth of new releases, including an extension of its Pneu-Torque pneumatic torque tools range with the introduction of the new PTS series. Replacing the PT-72, it is 30% lighter with an excellent power-to-weight ratio. It runs up to 60% faster (allowing rapid bolt rundown) and it
couples an improved air motor with Norbar’s tried and tested gearbox range. Models range from 500Nm – 6000 Nm. Also new is the HandTorque HT3-1000 Torque Multiplier. This is the most compact member of the HT3 family and is suited to a variety of industries, including rail and HGV. The product itself is lightweight and compact – ideal for constricted or tight spaces, as well as for workers moving around a site. It multiplies the input torque by a given factor and is versatile, with two reaction bar styles.
