International interest in the Middle East construction market shows no sign of easing off, according to the most recent edition of the Big 5 Dubai show. The 2017 show welcomed over 65,000 participants from over 140 countries in November 2017, representing a new record for the show, which saw more than 2,600 exhibitors from 64 countries.
With the 39th edition of the Big 5 Dubai on the horizon, organiser dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa will be leveraging co-located shows to grow those numbers still further.
GOING SOLAR
The Big 5 Solar will run alongside the Big 5 Dubai for a second time this year. Surely one of those obvious-with-hindsight shows, the Big 5 Solar in Dubai showcases advanced solar technologies in response to the growing demand for environmentally-sustainable solutions in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
HVAC
It will also come as little surprise that there’s also much interest in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) sector in the MENA region.
The outstanding performance of the dedicated HVACR Hall at the Big 5 Dubai 2017, coupled with the growing demand for energy efficient and technologically advanced heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in the region, has led to the development of another co-located show – the HVAC R Expo – which will also run alongside the Big 5 Dubai in November 2018.
And as if two further co-located shows were not enough, the Urban Design & Landscaping Expo is also in place to pick up on the rise in outdoor specific design and build projects across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), boosted by a tangible change in lifestyle and a strong call for more authentic public spaces, according to the Big 5’s Portfolio Event Director Josine Heijmans.
“The Urban Design & Landscaping Expo will perfectly complement The Big 5 exhibition, providing industry professionals from around the globe an enhanced platform to source the latest solutions for the construction and maintenance of urban and green spaces, sports grounds and playgrounds.”
With added backing from its new co-located shows, the Big 5 Dubai position in the Middle East Construction market is starting to look as unassailable as the Burj Khalifa.
The Big 5 Dubai will run 26-29 November 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
